Zito Media currently has an opening for an Escalation Coordinator in the Coudersport, PA office to serve as a point of contact for technical and customer issues.

This is a full-time position, working 40+ hours per week including one weekend day.

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Check and follow up on recent service calls and completed maintenance work; escalating any issues that persist
  • Follow up on recently completed installs to make sure all customer expectations are met
  • Review and escalate issues that have resulted in repeated service calls in a month
  • Using monitoring tools, proactively identify issues that could drive customer contacts
  • Identify training opportunities for the Customer Service or Technical Operations staff
  • Handle escalated issues and disconnect requests from identified areas
  • Develop and utilize new offers to retain existing subscribers
  • Monitor for any new competitors or offers in identified areas
  • Provide readouts / progress reviews
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.

 

Required skills/experience:

  • 1 year of customer service experience is required
  • 1 year of experience within the cable industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and use sound judgment
  • Flexibility to adjust the areas of focus as issues are resolved
  • Ability to escalate issues within a timely manner and track them to resolution
  • Act in an ethical manner and display urgency and accountability at all times.
  • Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees throughout the organization.
  • Personal computer knowledge required
  • Availability to work after hours or weekends when needed
  • Be available for pre-planned travel if required
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a must

Service Installation Technician Zito Media is seeking applicants for a Service Installation Technician to perform routine installations; disconnects; and troubleshooting of cable, high-speed internet, phone services and end user equipment. Must maintain performance standards in all duties of a service technician and instruct subscribers in general use of company equipment and services as needed. This position will require on-call evenings and weekends when scheduled or needed. Prior experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install cable television, internet and phone services.
  • Completion and submission of all assigned work orders.
  • Identify faults within the subscriber drop, up to the subscriber equipment to ensure proper signal level, picture quality and compliance with all local, state, federal and Zito Media requirements and standards.
  • Correct these faults by adjusting, repairing or replacing components.
  • Complete work assignments generated through subscriber service requests.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer concerning reception problems, instructions and services.
  • Apply technical expertise to a variety of situations, evaluating problems and implementing the best solutions.
  • Work under minimal supervision, within broad guidelines of procedures and goals.
  • Inform supervisor as necessary. o Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident. Required:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Valid state driver’s license along with an excellent driving record.
  • Friendly, patient, basic courtesy, diplomatic abilities and a pleasant demeanor.

  • Prior experience in a service environment preferred.

Special Requirements:

  • Carry, set-up and extend ladders weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Confidence working in/on buckets, ladders and utility poles at heights of up to 40 feet.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Use the standard tools of the trade (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, strippers, crimpers, hammers, etc.) to route cable, connect cable and install electronic equipment.
  • Able to work a variety of schedules in order to provide needed coverage, for both normal duty and on-call duty.
  • Sufficient visual and aural acuity to operate a variety of standard test and measurement equipment.

Rate:$16-$20 hr.

Zito is looking for a full-time Fiber Splicer to be responsible for the terminating, splicing, documenting and testing of all fiber optic cables within Zito Media’s fiber optic networks and their related equipment with the end goal of providing maximum operating efficiency.

Responsibility summary:

  • Customer premise installations, including racking, cabling, bonding, and grounding. Coordinate fiber activities with other departments and the Manager of Outside Plant.
  • Perform ring cuts on live fiber without affecting existing services.
  • Perform fiber tests with OTDRs, light source and meters.
  • Terminate, splice, bonds/grounds and tests fiber optic equipment to standards.
  • Provides accurate equipment location, splicing and terminating records for the fiber database.
  • Assists the Construction and Engineering departments in accepting and turning up the fiber network.
  • Builds bays, racking, jumper ducts and other network elements needed for the installing of fiber optic equipment and patch and panels.
  • Monitor, communicate and perform corrective actions to fix problems affecting any fiber or fiber related equipment.
  • Install demarcation enclosures, switches and other telecom equipment.

Skills Required:

  • Familiar with standards and best practices for premise entry and electronic equipment installation.
  • Ability to differentiate color codes, as well as read and understand manufacturer’s manuals for operating and repairing of electronic equipment and components.
  • Proficient in the operation of all related fiber tools and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of design and layout for fiber terminations.
  • Possess a good understanding of fiber documentation and have the ability to assist in laying out new fiber circuits.
  • Experience with bucket trucks and safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.

Skills Preferred:

  • 2+ years of outside plant fiber splicing and customer premise equipment installation.
  • Experience with the following equipment: fusion splicer, mechanical splicer, OTDR, power meters, traffic identifiers, digital multimeters, cleavers, strippers, buffer tube splitters, cable ring tools, hand tools, toners, rodders, ladders, bucket trucks, etc.
  • Work well under pressure and deadline environments.

Special Requirements:

  • An active driver’s license is required for this position.
